POSTDOCTORAL TRAINING

Post-doctoral fellows are employed in many of the research laboratories of the department. Post-doctoral positions are normally arranged by direct negotiations between prospective fellows and individual faculty members. Fellowships may be funded from operating grants held by faculty members, or by personal awards to the fellows from a variety of agencies. These include the Medical Research Council of Canada, the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada, and other more specialized agencies. Enquiries regarding post-doctoral positions and awards can be directed to individual faculty members depending on the areas of interest, or to the department head.
